A paper I wrote together with Thomas Hawranke is published in the German academic journal Tierstudien. This issue is focusing on animals and/as media. The paper is titled “Capturing the Wild. Virtual Horses in the Computer Game Red Dead Redemption 2” and we are writing about the possibilities as well as the limits of the animal-player relationship and its connection to how digital animals are co-created by both human and nonhuman actors.
